The Hunger Games - Book Review

So its a bit of a different review today. A book review...
I have just finished reading the hunger games book 1.
And I love it. So I thought that I would just do a quick review so you can decide whether to read it or not.
Lets get going
So I saw the film before reading the books. I loved the film and tell everyone how good it is. It is officially my favourite film. And I thought that the book would be really different, and to be honest it wasn't really, there were just a few differences here and there. Let me try and explain the story without spoiling the it for you guys.
Katniss Everdeen lives in North America in Panem. She lives in District 12 with her mother sister and best friend Gale. Every year one girl and boy from 12 to 18 years are chosen to compete in the hunger games, which is a fight to the death. A boy and girl are chosen from each of the twelve districts. 24 travel to the Capitol and are trained before entering the arena and starting the fight. Katniss sister Prim is chosen and Katniss Volounteers to take her place in the arena.
I'll leave it there so that I don't spoil it.
This is such an engaging story. I love how Katniss is such a wonderful character. So brave. Suzanne Collins has created an imaginative story with so many great characters. I love the story line  I cant really think of a story to compare it to. It really is completely different to anything that I've read before.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and also I would recommend the film. They are both are amazing. I do love the book more though. It has a lot more detail.
I am currently reading the next in the trilogy, "Catching Fire". So let me know whether you would like a review of that once I have finished it.
I <3 the Hunger Games!!!

Instagram...The best app

So today I will be chatting about one of the best apps on the app store... *Drum role please
Instagram!!!!! :D
For about 20 minutes a day, I have a little peek at other peoples pictures, because well I'm nosy like that. :D

But if you haven't heard about instagram. maybe because you don't have a phone that supports instagram, I suggest getting a phone that does. Most people have smart phones now. Instagram works with android and apple, unfortunately not blackberry. I have an iPhone 3gs and am going to be upgrading in the next few months, so I can't wait to see how good the pictures will be on a better camera. Because if I can make pictures this good on my 1 megapixel camera...
Then I'm sure that I could make some pretty good pictures with the next iPhone.

So, what is instagram?
Instagram is like a social networking app, where you can take pictures, but enhance them, change the colour and so on, to make them look a whole lot better. So imagine I took a picture of this
The I'd put it in instagram, choose effects and add all that jazz. Then we're done. Then I would click that lovely green tick and this screen would appear...
Ta dah
Then add tags and name it. Upload it to facebook if you want to, or twitter. Then click the other lovely green "Share" button. And guess what... That's it :)
So I would reccomend that you download instagram, its free and amazing. If you would like extra effects then you should think about pic fx, which isn't free but is worth it... :D.
Thanks for reading everyone :D And if you enjoyed, please follow, it makes me smile
BYE ;D

July 2012 Glossybox

Hi guys. Its that time of the month for a Glossybox Review. I received my box this morning and I'm not too sure what to make of the box. The sizes of the full size products and their prices seem to be a bit messed up. For instance the MONU cream is £14.95 for 15ml and you get 20ml in the tester and the exact same thing with the lip frosting, so I'd like to know what's happening there. This month was a festival themed box, but enough of me talking, lets get onto what I got in July's Glossybox.

1. Regenerating Collagen Gel
To be perfectly honest I have no intention of making use of this product. I'm sure it does it's job fine, but it's not the product for me so I can't really comment. But it seems to be a decent size. The normal 50ml Gel is £47.25 and this has 15ml, so decent size for your money, but it's just not for me. (above)

2. Kryolan Satin Powder Eyeshadow.
I really like this eyeshadow. At first I thought "Orange, No way" but then after examining it closely I realised that when you smudge it, it turns into this beautiful shimmery pink. This is a full size product and it retails for £4.75. I think that this is a decent product.

3. MONU Calming Cream
I like the idea of this product. It is supposed to calm redness on the skin, so this would be great for those times. I am going to save it for the. This retails for £14.95 for 15ml (I think it means 150ml, you get 20ml in the sample)
4. Awapuhi Wild Ginger
This is a hair spray that creates a tousled beach look. It has a divine smell, this is due to the ginger and i can't wait to give it a go. You get 25ml so I think this is a decent size, after all its a box full of 5 luxury samples. Full size is £18.95 for 150ml.
5. Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting
I Love love love this product. It's so smooth and nice on your lips and it also has a gorgeous colour. I would say sort of a pinky shimmery sort of colour. My colour is called Irish Cream Pavlova. The size is very cute and perfect for a handbag. The full size is £10.00 for 15ml (think its meant to be 150ml you get 20ml in the sample) Above is how it looks on the lips. ;)
6. Elizabeth Arden Face Stuff
This is a small added bonus this month. It has a few skin type things and I'm not too bothered about it. It's a nice bonus.

So this month was ok. This is the first month where I've not been over the moon, especially as some subscribers got a HD Brows palette, which made me green with envy :P. I'm going to carry on for a couple more months and if they aren't as good, then I'm going to stop subscribing. Lets hope the next couple of boxes are good or I'm going to say BYE. :)
Thanks for reading
Please follow my blog, I would appreciate it.

Glossybox April 2012 - Natural Box

If you read my previous post you would know that I took part in the two for one offer at Glossybox last week. I encountered a problem as on the GB Facebook page it said the extra box was only for new subscribers. I was worried, however the box turned up this morning and I was delighted to the find the natural box inside GB's gorgeous packaging. GB have really put lots of effort into this box. The packaging is GORGEOUS! But anyway, on with the products.
1. Burt's Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion
I have always wanted to try a Burt's Bees product ad let me tell you they are really amazing. The consistency reminds me of Shea butter, and the smell is divine. It really does smell of milk and honey. On my hands, as I said, it felt like Shea Butter and I love how it felt. Really great product and I great size to just put in your bag on your way out.
2. Figs & Rouge Balm - Cherry Vanilla
This was one of the main products that I wanted in this Glossybox and I am so pleased. And i'm not disappointed. It is so soothing and tastes really minty and it smells gorgeous. This is the best lip balm by far and I am definitely going to go and purchase another when this one is gone. It's 100% pure, natural and organic and mine is cherry vanilla flavor. I'm also in love with the tin it is so cute and perfect for a handbag. So I officially in love with this product.
3. Monu Collagen Cream
This cream is probably one of the products that will sit on my shelf because I don't need a cream for dry or dehydrated skin. But I am pleased with the size and it smells really good :).
4. Caudalie Serum
I'm afraid I can't really comment on  this product because my skin doesn't lack moisture or need a serum because I'm still quite young. So this product has gone to my mum and she said she would get some use out of it.
5. Inka Eyeliner - Graphite
I was so worried that my inka product would be a lip liner but fortunately it was a eyeliner in a gorgeous colour. Its 07 Graphite. I love how it has a symbol on the packaging which means the eyeliner is cruelty free and environmentally conscious. This is my favourite product. The consistency is creamy and smooth and I love the whole product :) Can't wait to wear it out. I have included a little swatch to show you the colour.
So that was my natural box. I'm so pleased. I hope the actual box for this month is decent and when it arrives I will be doing a review on it. Can't wait. Until then

Accessorize Rucksack. Worth it?

Most of you will have seen the latest "in fashion" bags and they are very nice. A few of my friends had them and I always admired how pretty they looked. The main bulk of the rucksacks seemed to come from accessorize as they have the biggest selection and a few coming from top shop. I did t really like the top shop bags. They just weren't my style. I really love this bag. I went to London this earlier this week and did a bit of shopping. I had decided in advance that I was going to get the rucksack but I was going to go for the butterfly or stripy one. As soon as I saw the spotty one.... I fell in love. It looked a lot prettier than the others and stood out. So after gathering a couple of other items I paid and left. So I decided to use this bag for school and it works so well. It holds everything I need perfectly with lots of spare space. for £32 it's a bit of a big buy. But I had lusted after a bag like this for ages. I got a few pounds off because I had a gift card. I paid £27 for it. Still a bit pricy but in my opinion it's worth it. My old fossil school bag was starting to wear and I needed a new one. I am very pleases with my purchase. More London purchase reviews to come my lovelies. xxxxxxx
P.S. many thanks to my lil sis for modelling the bag :)

June 2012 Glossybox

If you had read my one of my last blog posts you would know that I was quite exited to receive my June Glossybox. I'm not sure about this month. But the highlight was getting my Stila eyeliner free this month. It is so beautiful. I haven't got a picture but it will probably be in my haul post because I received it separately. I was surprised this morning when the man turned up at the door, because I sent GB and email asking about the status of my order and they said it wouldn't be here until Wednesday so yea, you can imagine my surprise. So without further a do lets take a look at the products...
1. HD Brows Precision Tweezers
I was so surprised when I read the card and saw I had got another HD Brows product in my Glossybox. I really love them. I tried them out this morning and they are amazing.
2. Glossybox Goat Hair Brush
I was looking for a brush recently, Glossybox must have read my mind. I really needed it and this one is so soft and lovely. Can't wait to use it.
3. Green People Sun Lotion
I'm not sure about this product, because I haven't had the chance to try it yet. But I really want to. Just waiting for the chance.
4. BM Beauty Bronzer
This is a mineral bronzer, I had wanted to try one of these so I'm exited to try it out and use my new brush with it. So yea....
5. Vichy Dermablend Concealer
This looks like quite a good product, there are six little sample and I do mean little but still I'll get a little bit of use out of them.
So this is quite a good box but I definitely I loved the May box more. Anyway... Hope you like your boxes too.

What's on my wrist?

I was flicking through a really good blog the other day and noticed that she had a "What's on my wrist post" so I thought why not. So the question is ... What is on my wrist?

1. Cute Gem Bracelet
I bought this watch a few weeks ago when I visited a palace type place with my school and I really love it. My best friend has one to in pink so yea. It is really cute and was only £2.99. Bargain! :)
2. S.TA.M.P.S Watch
I bought this watch on holiday in France about a year ago and I'm loving it lately because of the huge face of the watch. Best thing about it is if you bought more watch faces and straps, you could switch them around. The website is here so go and check it out.
3. Friendship bracelet
I only finished making this yesterday and it took me ages. I'm really proud because it's my first one. And once I've finished this post I'm going to go and finish my next one. What do you think. Would you guys like a tutorial? Tell me in the comments below.
4. Shamballa Bracelet.
I've borrowed this one from my mum because I absaloutley adore it. You can buy all different colour ones here on eBay and so I'm going to order one later in a few colours because they are so cute. This link here will take you to an eBay page with the plain ball ones which I love as well. There are LOADS of colours so go and check it out.

So what do you think? I don't have as much arm candy as most people but I'm building it up and making a few more bracelets. Thanks for reading guys.....

I'm exited about the June 2012 Glossybox...

You guys will know if you read my previous blog posts that I really like my first Glossybox. I mean I really loved it. I did unsubscribe for a bit because I did think £10 + P&P was quite pricey especially if you have to fork it out every month but today I got an email saying that if I subscribed again I would receive a free Stila eyeliner. So I was like "Yea, I want a Stila eyeliner, I need one" You know how it is girls. But to cut a short story even shorter, I bought the June Glossybox and I'm hoping that it will be special as this is the decider month for some people. This is because some people were disappointed with last month. I loved it but anyways, I still hope that its something good. They will be sent Monday so hopefully :S it will come. So Yea I think that's it. Remember to follow me for many more blog posts I'm just getting started and I want to do a giveaway soon. So subscribe for a giveaway, because it will only be open to subbies. Anyway. I got to go sooooooooo ...... Bye ....

Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss

I went out shopping with a few friends and decided to try TK Maxx for a few Stila products. I found loads and I thought that I would start out with a lip gloss. The one that I picked out is called euphoria. It is kind of a light cranberry colour. It is applied using a brush end. It feels lovely and tastes really nice. Best of all it is only £3.99 from £9.99. Bargain. Definitely try Stila. The gorgeous things in life xxx

Soap and Glory

In boots the other day I noticed that they were doing a three for two offer on soap and glory. I jumped at the offer because I think its better to get S&G products on offer because they are quite pricey. I got three products and I love two of them. So I got
1. Kick Ass Concealer
I love this concealer. It's one of those things where you wonder what you ever did without it. It's a three step kit. I got the colour medium. You put on two shades of concealer and then apply a powder to set it. It stays on all day and really brightens your eyes. - £10
2. A Great Kisser
This lip balm is new to the S&G cosmetics range. It is really good. It is a tinted lip balm and I got it in the colour cherry. It feels really nice on your lips and I apply some S&G plumping gloss over the top to make it look nice. I love it lots. -£5
3. Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner. I have the supercat liquid eyeliner and I love it to bits so I thought that this pencil eyeliner would work well. It does for about an hour. It starts to fade after a while when I put it on my waterline, however I really like how it looks. So I'm not made up about this product yet. But it was my freebie so I cant complain.... -£5 - freebie
So overall I'm really please with my purchases. Can't wait to try out some more.

So...

If I can get 50+ followers (the more the better) I may consider doing a giveaway :) Get Following :D

Superdry

So lots of people say that superdry is amazing and I must say. I agree 99% but that 1% is for the price. Superdry is as well known for its high prices as well as it is known for its clothing. But now I just thought I'd tell you my opinion. First up I think that even if you consider yourself to be average size. Get the next size up because the Superdry sizes are TINY! But still they look amazing. I would recommend the neon Superdry top because they are neon and they look amazing on! :) The image above is an image of my top from the Superdry website. I also have a hoodie which I managed to win on eBay for just £18. To be honest, despite the price I would recommend them. However see if you can pick one up on eBay first because sometimes they are cheaper. So yea that's about it. Thanks for reading.

Glossybox May 2012

So in the mail today I received a beautifully wrapped May 2012 GlossyBox. And let me start of by saying I am in love. The Glossybox immediately caught my eye. So lets go through each product.

1. HD Brows Grow Baby Grow
This product is for lines and wrinkles around the eye.
Also you can out it on your eyelashes and eyebrows
to make them stronger and to make them grow.
2. Apivita Cucumber Face Mask
These are worth £3.50 per sachet and you get two. That's worth £7.00 already.
3. Noble & Isle Bath and Body Gel
This smells really unusual, but I do like it!
4. Berber Oil, Argan Hair Oil
This is used to put on the hair to nourish and strengthen.
5. Two Perfume Samples
There are two included and they both smell very nice and flowery.
Also they included a balloon, which they encourage you to take a picture of you and the balloon and put it on the Glossybox Facebook page.
A little gift included is a mirror and I think that it's a nice little touch on their anniversary.
So overall I love the box and will be continuing to subscribe :)
